Caring for Aging Parents

When: 2nd Mondays, 6:30 PM
Where: Room 312 (with a Zoom option available)

Caring for aging parents while managing other responsibilities—such as raising children, full-time work, or daily demands—can feel overwhelming. The Caring for Aging Parents Support Group offers a space for community, understanding, and solidarity among those who “get it.”

What to Expect:

  • Mutual Support: Share experiences, challenges, and encouragement with others navigating similar situations.
  • Expert Insight: Occasionally, the group will feature guest speakers with expertise in elder care and related topics.
  • Flexible Participation: Attend in person or join via Zoom, based on your availability and preference.

The group is led by Ellen Gullett, a member of Second, and is open to both church members and the wider Indianapolis community.

May 12 Guest Speakers: Drs. Patrick & Diane Healey
The Healeys have a combined 70 years of clinical experience as fellowship-trained geriatricians, retiring from Ascension St. Vincent Center for Healthy Aging at the end of 2022. In retirement they started Healeys on Aging Consulting to provide education and program development on geriatric issues and to promote age-friendly healthcare.
